Young Minds Organization

Founded in 2022, Young Minds Organization is a local organisation registered under the non-governmental organisation Act No.24 of 2002 as amended from time to time. Reg no. OoNgo/R/2507.

The organisation is dedicated to the improvement of young children’s and women’s health and rights to education and to the reduction of disparities in accessing quality education and healthcare available to young children and women. To provide a holistic transformation of young people and disadvantaged communities by offering training empowerment and exposure to life-changing innovations. To identify areas needing assistance in education, general social welfare, and health care for communities. To build capacity and sensitize communities’ health.

Advocacy and lobbying for decision-makers to enact laws and policies which protect the rights of children concern their rights to education and health. To promote the establishment of children and women protection and rehabilitation centres for the rescued children and abused women. We want to create awareness for the community.

Elizabeth Justin

President

Elizabeth she is a globally-minded, purpose-driven business leader and a tour operator. Elizabeth’s 30-plus year career in the tourism industry has spanned multiple business sectors, geographies, and functions.


Lucy Sabas

Organization Secretary

With over five years of dedicated experience, Lucy is deeply committed to advancing the well-being of young children and women, as well as promoting their rights to education. She brings a diverse skill set, having specialized in criminology and forensic science, psychology, and sociology, and holding a master’s in executive MBA
Lucy’s primary focus is on serving and empowering young children and women. She works diligently to ensure that every initiative aligns with this goal, whether it’s organizing educational events, advocating for their rights, or creating safe spaces for them to thrive. Inspired by her mother, Lucy dedicates her free time to meaningful activities.


MacDonald Sabas

Program Director

Opens the line of communication between clients, customers, and businesses to get projects done. With years in the private sector, MacDonald has experience in management consultation, team building, professional development, strategic implementation, and company collaboration.


Onesmo Mathius Kinawar

Attorney

He is a Commissioner for oaths/Notary public/civil litigations/cooperate lawyer with over a decade of experience in the law firm. He holds a Bachelor’s in law. Onesmo has helped society. During weekends, he likes spending them with his family.


Godfrey

Education Director

Has been working for Meru District Council for six years now since May 2015 teaching History, Civic Education, Swahili and has also invigilated a Form Two National Assessment in 2018 and Standard Four Assessment in 2021. Martin believes in building strong relationships and having positive thinking in the workplace which helps in accomplishing tasks that require teamwork situations, Martin enjoys a good Netflix binge but can also be found on a long morning runs in the community playgrounds and parks.
