Young Minds Organization

Founded in 2022, Young Minds Organization is a local organisation registered under the non-governmental organisation Act No.24 of 2002 as amended from time to time. Reg no. OoNgo/R/2507.

The organisation is dedicated to the improvement of young children’s and women’s health and rights to education and to the reduction of disparities in accessing quality education and healthcare available to young children and women. To provide a holistic transformation of young people and disadvantaged communities by offering training empowerment and exposure to life-changing innovations. To identify areas needing assistance in education, general social welfare, and health care for communities. To build capacity and sensitize communities’ health.

Advocacy and lobbying for decision-makers to enact laws and policies which protect the rights of children concern their rights to education and health. To promote the establishment of children and women protection and rehabilitation centres for the rescued children and abused women. We want to create awareness for the community.

Elizabeth Justin

President

Elizabeth she is a globally-minded, purpose-driven business leader and a tour operator. Elizabeth’s 30-plus year career in the tourism industry has spanned multiple business sectors, geographies, and functions.


Lucy Sabas

Organization Secretary

With five years of experience. She has specialized in criminology and forensic science, psychology and sociology also holding a master’s in executive MBA. She is responsible for administrative work, she also maintenance office operations, coordinates with partnering pub destinations about upcoming tours and guest numbers, Help improve guest experience on existing tours (Haunted Pub, Criminal Masterminds, Brewery Tour: Old Town District, Private Beer & Board Games), Provide exceptional customer service for all tours and business operations and communicate daily with prospective customers, guests, and partners via phone and email. Lucy is inspired daily by her mother. In her free time, Lucy loves to go for fellowships, read, and spend her time with the little ones.


MacDonald Sabas

Program Director

Opens the line of communication between clients, customers, and businesses to get projects done. With over 20 years in the private sector, MacDonald has experience in management consultation, team building, professional development, strategic implementation, and company collaboration.


Onesmo Mathius Kinawar

Attorney

He is Commissioner for oaths/Notary public/civil litigations/cooperate lawyer with over a decade of experience in the law firm. He holds a Bachelor’s in law, Onesmo has solved a lot of cases and helped in society. During weekends, he likes spending them with his family.


Godfrey

Education Director

Has been working for Meru District Council for six years now since May 2015 teaching History, Civic Education, Swahili and has also invigilated a Form Two National Assessment in 2018 and Standard Four Assessment in 2021. Martin believes in building strong relationships and having positive thinking in the workplace which helps in accomplishing tasks that require teamwork situations, Martin enjoys a good Netflix binge but can also be found on a long morning runs in the community playgrounds and parks.


Vicente Gomez

Volunteer and Collaborations Coordinator

Computer Science Engineer with more than 20 years of experience in IT. He has gained a wide experience working for the public sector at the University of Jaen, IT Department; Also, for the Spanish Regional Government, Ministry of the Environment of Jaen, IT Department. He moved to Ciudad Real and created his own IT company and after that, he joined a private company as a Manager in Electronic Advertising Department. After a few years, he moved to Manchester (UK) where he was the System Administrator in a Primary School, and at the same time, an IT Support Technician at Instituto Cervantes. He has gained exceptional skills while working in Latham & Watkins LLP one of the biggest Law Firms in the World as a Global Technology Support Analyst.


Ana Rivas

Volunteer Coordinator

Working for more than 16 years in education. Ana studied Biology at the University of Jaen, Spain. Then she achieved the PGCE and at the same time, she was doing volunteer work in a genetic laboratory to get more experience. Also, working as an Environmental/Conservation Volunteer in conservation activities in National Parks with different associations like SEO Birdlife, Gaia and ADENA (WWF); Doñana National Park: Program conservation of Iberian Lynx; National Museum of Natural Science: Podarcis Hispanica natural selection at the Ria de Arosa (Pontevedra). Worked as an Environment Educator for 3 years, teaching environmental issues, teaching appropriate behaviour in the environment, motivating pupils, and organising activities. She taught Biology in Secondary Schools in Spain for 5 years and after that, she moved to Manchester (UK), where she worked as a Teaching Assistant in a Special Educational Needs Primary School and taught Spanish at Instituto Cervantes. She loves working with children, teaching, and helping them to achieve their goals. Also, she worked as a volunteer in Oxfam Charity shop, Woodcraft Folk and helped Spanish students in primary and secondary schools.
